Ongoing Programming Across Philadelphia

In 2027, we are expanding our Community Conversations to offer programming across Philadelphia. We are building a program that includes art and death education at:

Senior community centers
Senior living spaces
Local cultural centers
The Threshold Collective
Cemeteries

Throughout the city.

Leading up to the 2025 festival, we held a series of Community Conversations with our partners and friends:

Sheila Zagar and friends, a three-series gathering where a group of elders and friends discussed what it means to age, approach death, and grieve alongside your friends and loved ones, in all its love, awkwardness, loneliness, and connection.

Simpson Midtown, a movement and storytelling workshop for Simpson Midtown residents and their caregivers.

Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley, a session on Five Wishes Advanced Directive, followed by a conversation amongst attendees about their concerns and curiosities about death.

After the festival, Wesley hosted a Community Dinner for festival attendees to reflect on the impact the festival had on them.

The Welcome Table at St. James the Less, a session on The Conversation Project, followed by a conversation amongst attendees about their concerns and curiosities about death.
